We started with the technology ...

To accomplish our goal of building the ideal menswear shopping experience, we built a proprietary, AI-powered store unlike any other that will actually Hyper-Personalize our store to YOU. It will help you know what items are best for you, and offer insightful analysis on every item you look at. It will even tell you when something probably isn't right for you. Unlike other stores, we don't think we should sell you something just to make a sale if we don't think it will make you happy.

... then we found the ideal brands

We are constantly seeking out the best brands from around the world that offer a true level of excellence and craftsmanship. You won't find fast fashion here; instead, you'll find long lasting, high quality products from both renowned and upstart menswear brands. Each brand we work with brings something unique and valuable to the table that makes them worth owning.

We are based in Toronto and ship to both Canada and the USA (you can find our contact info here).

We try our best to be as environmentally friendly as possible. We don't include unnecessary paper in our shipments and prefer using recycled packaging whenenver we can. We also work with our partners to try to reduce the amount of transportation an item requires before reaching your hands. It might be small, but we think every little bit helps, and we are always looking for ways to make smart environmental choices in our day-to-day operations.

Gotengo was originally founded by a team of experienced technologists who were dissatisfied with the state of menswear shopping and set out to do it better.

Our guiding principle was to make dressing better an easier process and saw endless opportunity to apply technology and Silicon Valley-inspired thinking to the problem of decoding fashion. After adding experts in retail and fashion to our founding team, we became confident that we could build a store that is better than the status quo and redefine how men shop for clothes.

While our team may have somewhat unorthodox roots for a menswear store, we embrace that, because we aren't trying to be a typical menswear store!
